Editor Penny Briscoe is co-owner of Encore Publishing Group. As editor of Encore magazine, she is a community liaison and largely responsible for editorial content, including story topics and writer assignments. She is also copy editor for Kalamazoo Public Schools’ monthly Excelsior publication. In addition, Penny enjoys the challenge of specialty project management, which may include coordination, research, writing, and/or editing. A life-long resident of Michigan and long-time resident of the Kalamazoo area, Penny earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Western Michigan University and is a former high school English and business teacher with extensive experience in student publications.
